Fatima Hassuneh Endowed Scholarship Fund

Assalamu Alaykum. In September 2017, young Fatima passed away in a tragic accident in Indianapolis. She was 18 years old. The entire community was affected by this loss and turned to their faith for strength and rallied to support her family and console each other. Fatima graduated from Eman Schools in Fishers, Indiana in 2016 and had been with the school since its inception. She aspired to be a physician. It is in her memory and with the goal of initiating a perpetual charity (sadaqah jariya) that Eman Schools has created the Fatima Hassuneh Endowed Scholarship Fund. This fund will be used to sponsor lower income students who wish to attend the school that loved her. The fund can assist families with books, school supplies, fees, tuition and possibly a stipend depending on the level of need, Inshallah. As we mourn, we accept Allah’s will and ask for His forgiveness and invite you to contribute to this self-sustaining charitable fund to provide education, grounded in Islamic principles, to young children for a generation to come. The Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who will pray for him.” [Sahih Muslim] حديث صحيح رواه مسلم في صحيحه: (إذا مات ابن آدم انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاث: صدقة جارية، أو علم ينتفع به، أو ولد صالح يدعو له.) A check can be made out to Eman Schools and mailed to 11965 Allisonville Rd. Fishers, IN 46038 with “Fatima Fund” written in the comments.
